Tommie Cervetti - Secretary
Tommie Cervetti

Tommie Cervetti has served on the ITNMemphis Board since 2011 and was elected Secretary in January, 2013. She is retired from Shelby County Government, having served 12 years as Manager of the County Mayor's Office on Aging then Manager for Information and Assistance for the Aging Commission of the Mid South.  She served two terms as President of the Council on Aging, and was Chair of the Advisory Council for the Senior Companion Advisory Council at MIFA. 

Cervetti received a Presidential Appointment to the 1995 White House Conference on Aging and also served as Chair of the Board of Catholic Charities, President of her Parish Council.  She holds a BSE from the University of Arkansas and an MA in Urban Anthropology from the University of Memphis.

Niels French - Board Member
Niels French

Niels French has served on the ITNMemphis Board since 2011.  As the Administrative Director of Operations and International Ministries for the Faith & Health Division of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, his division works to encourage faith and health collaboration in communities. He works in close collaboration with the General Board of Global Ministries, UMCOR-Health Unit of the United Methodist Church through a relationship as health liaison and previously served as program administrator of the Interfaith Health Program at the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University and at The Carter Center in Atlanta, GA from 1997 through 2005.

French holds a B.A. in Economics and French from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a M.A. in economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE.  He speaks French and some Swahili.

Dee Wallace - Treasurer
Dee Wallace

Dee Wallace joined the ITNMemphis Board in 2013. A CPA with broad experience in publicly traded and privately held companies as well as not-for-profit organizations, she has direct experience with managing operations, human resources, administration, tax planning and reporting, regulatory compliance, financial, accounting and management consulting. As Chief Financial Officer for the American Contract Bridge League, she draws on extensive experience from leadership positions with Consulting Services Group, Soulsville, FedEx, and Harrah’s.

Wallace has previously volunteered as Treasurer for Memphis Literacy Council, Samaritan Counseling Centers, and Calvary Episcopal Church. She holds a B.B.A. and an M.S. in Accounting and Management and is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Memphis.

Fundraising Chair

Pastor Mark Matheny has been involved with ITNMemphis since 2010 and has served on the board since 2011. Matheny has been Senior Minister at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Memphis since 2005 and agreed to serve as Board Development Chairman for ITNMemphis in 2013.

A native of Hattiesburg, MS, Rev. Matheny is a third-generation United Methodist minister who received degrees from Millsaps College, Southern Methodist University and Emory University.

Bob Bernstein has been called the "guru" of elder care in Memphis, and has been on the board of ITNMemphis since 2011. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Memphis Jewish Family Service, and the Memphis and Shelby County Council on Aging, where he served as Chairperson four times. He is also a member of the advisory council for the Metropolitan Interfaith Association Senior Companion Program and the Delta Long Term Care Consortium. He has represented both the State of Tennessee and the Delta Area at the White House Conference on Aging.

Reverend Chris Carter joined the ITNMemphis Board in 2013 as Congregational Liaison. As Congregational Care Pastor for Chirst United Methodist Church since 2012, he develops and enhances the Adult and Senior Care Ministry programs.  A Special Speaker/Retreat Leader in more than 30 different congregations throughout the U.S., he is also a Spiritual Director for the Emmaus Community ministry of spiritual renewal within the United Methodist Church, Chairman of the Change for Children mission project of the United Methodist Church and served as an ordained Elder in full connection within the United Methodist Church until 2005.

Rev. Carter received his B.A. in English Literature and Biblical Education from Lee University in Cleveland, TN, and an M. Div. in Pastoral Ministry and D. Min. from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky.

New to the ITNMemphis Board in 2013, Harry Colter brings a plethora of experience from has an extensive government and military background as an Army Chaplain and Security/Intelligence Analyst for the U.S. Army. From 2001 to 2012, he worked as Fiscal Resources Manager for the Department of Navy Morale Welfare Recreation Division in Millington, TN.

Colter holds a B.S. from the University of Memphis, an M.A. from Abilene Christian University, and a M.Th. from the Harding University Graduate School of Religion. Since 2006, he has volunteered with the Frayser Community Development Corporation, serving as Chairman of the Housing Committee and as President of the Board for the past four years.

Pat Hickman has served on the Board of ITNMemphis since its inception and also serves as an officer for the Highland Area Renewal Corporation (HARC), which served as the Fiduciary Agent for Friends of ITNMemphis before 501(c)3 status and affiliation with ITNAmerica was secured. She currently works at Buntyn Presbyterian Church where the ITNMemphis offices are located. Hickman holds a BS in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and an MS in Education from the University of Memphis.

Dan Murrell - Chair
Dan Murrell

Dan H. Murrell, CFRE, is the founding board president of ITNMemphis where he has served since 2010. His interest in senior transportation issues stems from his time as Director of Development and Community Relations at Trezevant Manor, a continuing care retirement community in Memphis, TN. He and friend, Fred Wimmer, recognized the need for such a service and set out to bring an affiliate of ITNAmerica to Memphis.

Murrell has been in nonprofit development work since 1997 and is now Director of Planned Giving at the University of Memphis. He earned the CFRE accreditation in 2008, the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.
